100% Q: could someone make me a poem ?
A:I'm thankful for my mother for always standing by my side. For letting me cry on her shoulder, and for being my greatest guide. For teaching me my numbers, and my A.B.C's. Also for my manners, like saying thank you and please. For teaching me about boys, and what they used girls for. And also about puberty, and what I had in store. For always being creative, Always thinking of something new. Like creating a sock-puppet play when we kids had nothing to do. To her it didn't matter what the circumstance. She was always right there by me, to help me and hold my hand. Without my mother around, life wouldn't be the same. I am the happiest girl I know And my mother is to blame.

100% Q: A daughters love poem, please critique?
She made a promise to her mother To learn to dance just like no other But she could feel it in her vision To never make one bad decision Her mom had done a move so daring And found the floor was not so sparing And now she’s slightly paralyzed Her dream is done unrealized As years went by a new contest Her daughter vowed to be the best She saw her mother watching her Praying old events will not occur She glided to that very move She did the leap and found her groove Then like Fred Astaire did with a broom She danced around and swept the room Then in her ears a mighty roar The votes were in a perfect score To all the others who had tried With a leap of love they were denied But a promise made then was not kept But her mom forgave her as they wept They felt their tears, they felt their cries Her mom had won now thru her eyes
A:Hello Gary, This is a little sentimental for my tastes (just a preference) but it does read nicely. Here's what I think worked and what didn't. S1: Flowed well. L3-4: I would reword this. I think you can focus the language better here. S2: I know you are not using end punctuation but could you give me a comma or a dash after L4: done. I find myself taking a pause there for meaning. S3: L4 reads a little akward. Read the stanza out loud and see if you hear what I mean. S4: This is good writing. Very visual image. S5: Flows well. I like this. S6: Good stanza. The only issue I had here was a content issue. Maybe I got confused. When I read the first two lines of your poem, the girl is going to learn the dance like no other. Though she doesn't want to have the same accident that her mother did. I didn't get the idea that she had promised not to dance till this stanza--in fact quite the opposite. Well, that's my feedback. I hope you find it helpful. Like I said, I like your writing--it's just not a topic choice I generally gravitate to. Thanks though, it was worth reading--if only for your Fred Astaire sequence.

I wrote this poem 10 years ago.... On Mother's Day I passed the test... I gave them birth with 100% my best Wash their face, combed their hair, Lord knows, I've done my share Off to school, home by three, with never any time for me Cookies, brownies I did bake, and one can't forget their birthday cake's How can one ask for anymore; when I've got it all ? One big happy family who drives me up the wall! A son who loves; basketball, soccer and hockey, The other son works as a gas Jockey A small child like my daughter I'm raising, how I keep going well it's just a amazing! I love them all; even more so when they call, Because without their love I'm nothing at all. All the children they are so rare; So love them all equal, and treat them all fair. For every mother this is plain to see, Mother and child the bond will always be... Thanks die for poetry- Do you mean split into two paragraphs? If so; I did actually, but forgot on this posting. Thxs Hi Amy- I guess want I meant: If ever I lost a child, and no matter at what age, "Well, I would just want to die too"
