A:Try William Blake's "The Divine Image" and "The Human Abstract." These are both from his larger work "Songs of Innocence and Experience." While these are my personal favorites of Blake's short poems, "Little Boy Lost" and "Little Boy Found" should also suit your purpose. If you're looking for slightly longer poems, "The Chimney-Sweeper," which has the same title in both "Innocence" and "Experience" is great. These should be an easy contrast and comparison for you because Blake actually wrote them expressly for that purpose. In fact, everything in "Songs of Innocence and Experience" is a comparison/contrast from his early life through middle age - even the title suggests this. As an English major, I'll warn you that the language in Blake can be a little tedious, as we are talking about the early to mid-nineteenth century. But the poems are short and relatively self-explanatory, so language shouldn't be an issue. And I'm sure your teacher will applaud you for trying Blake. Best of luck to you!

A:You can get a job to make money like everyone else. Poets do not make tons of money. You'd be lucky if you can convince people to publish your poems for free, much less have them pay you for it PS. People won't be too inclined to take you seriously as a poet if you can't even write a question out in comprehensible English.
